Chocolate Day
Valentine's Day was actually pretty fun this year, besides all the kissing pictures on Facebook. Judah and I ordered some fudge from a place we had visited on our honeymoon. It's called the Fudge Kitchen, and their fudge is delicious, and you should check it out.
It was fun to reminisce about our honeymoon while snacking on some delicious chocolatey goodness. We celebrated Valentine's Day on Saturday this year because I was sick on Friday, which involved talking with distant family (miss you guys!), getting a fun hair cut, and making a nice dinner at home.
And if you know me, you know that no holiday is complete without a craft. What I love about our new apartment is having a front door on a main street which I can decorate with festive wreaths. So, a few weeks ago, I made a Valentine's Day wreath!
In case you're wondering, here are some quick DIY instructions. Sorry that I don't have pictures of the process. Like most of my wreaths, this is simply a ring cut out of cardboard (it's free!). I wrapped it in batting for a little plumpness, then wrapped it in strips of some beige fabric that I had lying around. I made the flowers out of red and pink fabric. You can find the super easy tutorial here! I then glued them on with hot glue, and arranged some pretty buttons in the mix. I finished it off by gluing a few pearl beads onto the wreath.
Super easy, super cheap, and super fun! That's how I like my crafts (especially the cheap part).
Happy Valentine's Day, friends!
