Hello World. It's Me, Baby.

You don’t know me yet, but if you’re reading this, you at least know my mom, and probably my dad. Mommy hasn’t written anything for her blog lately, because she’s way too tired and sick, so I figured I’d write something instead.

Allow me to introduce myself. You can call me Baby for now, although one day I’ll have a real name. I’m excited to hear what Mommy and Daddy have picked out for me. I’ve been around for 13 weeks, so I’m about three inches long, about the size of a peach. Also, I have fingerprints!

I’m dancing up a storm in here. Yesterday, Mommy and Daddy heard my heartbeat at the doctor’s, and the doctor said I must be turning somersaults with all the noise I was making. But I’m too small for Mommy to feel yet, so I’ll keep dancing away. I like to listen to her sing. She sings a lot, and I can hear her from in here. Most of the time, I like it, but someone needs to tell her to let go of “Let it Go.” You’re embarrassing me, Mom!

Speaking of my mom, we’ve been having a tough time with our diet. She gets sick all the time and she can’t eat a whole lot. Sometimes, she eats something that makes her really happy. I haven’t tasted them yet, but from how much she raves about them, I think strawberries must be really good. But then other kinds of food don’t work out as well, and her stomach sends it back up. It must be really hard on her, because she cries a lot.

But Daddy must really love her a lot, because he takes such good care of her. He hugs her when she cries, and he makes her food whenever she wants it. Sometimes he gets special treats for her, like soup in a bread bowl from some place called Panera. Mommy was really happy about that. A couple nights ago, he got a basin of hot water for Mommy to soak her feet in, and then he gave her a foot massage! He must REALLY love her! Mommy was more relaxed than she’s been in a long time, so I felt pretty good too.

I can’t believe I have to wait until September to meet them, and all of you too! But then again, it’s pretty cozy in here. I don’t mind waiting a few more months!
