Unicorn Birthday Party (+ Free Unicorn Photobooth Printables!)

It's hard to believe that it's been a whole year since our little Pumpkin was born. Last weekend, we celebrated with family and friends by having a magical, unicorn themed birthday party! It's been a while since I blogged, so I figured I'd share a few things here on how I planned this party. Unfortunately, I turned into a bit of a crazy person while setting things up, so I hardly got any pictures! So, first off, thank you to those of you who have sent pictures of the party to me! So, here we go!

It's no secret that I love making cakes. And when I saw the unicorn cake trend months ago, I knew that I had to make this! I used parts of this fantastic tutorial to make this unicorn cake. I had never worked with fondant before, but it wasn't as hard as I thought. I used the leftover cake batter and frosting to make these cupcakes.

The birthday girl needed to have an outfit as magical as the party itself, so I made her a cute little rainbow tutu! I've seen these all over Pinterest, and they are actually SO easy to make! Check out this tutorial if you want to make one. I foresee a tutu for every holiday...

For the decorations, I told myself I wasn't going to go overboard, but I failed miserably as soon as I saw these adorable unicorn pinatas! I was originally going to make one as a centerpiece for every table, but Judah talked me off the ledge and I only made three. I just used them as table decorations, because I think I would cry if we had to hit them with sticks. (Honestly, I almost cried when I cut the cake.)

I randomly decided that we needed a photobooth, too. I used this easy tutorial to make a backdrop out of cheap, plastic table cloths. I made some props to go with the photobooth, but once again, I failed to take any pictures of it all together, so this will have to do.

If you'd like to make these for yourself, either for a photobooth or just for fun, click HERE for a PDF version of these cute little signs. Just print them on cardstock, cut them out, and attach them to wooden dowels. Or just hang them up all over your house.

Anyway,  thanks for reading, and thank you to everyone who helped to make our little girl's day so magical! Since you made it all the way to the bottom, here's an actual photo of me preparing for this party,
