Field Trip: Kipona Festival

 This weekend, we went to the Kipona Festival and Native American Powwow. We really enjoyed watching the dancing and singing. Sweet Pea participated in the candy dance, seen below. She collected more Tootsie Rolls than we could possibly eat, but it was a great time!

We also bought some frybread to enjoy. It was delicious!

Last year, we studied Native American history, and after reading a lot about powwows, it was great to experience one in real life!
