Pumpkin time!

As some of you know, Judah and I have been recovering from a nasty bug that had us congested, coughing, and lying in bed with fevers. The sad part was that I had to lay in bed and watch the leaves on the tree outside my window turn red, and see everyone’s posts on facebook about crunchy leaves, pumpkin spice lattes, and apple picking (really, it’s a little obsessive sometimes). I felt pretty left out, and I don’t even like pumpkin spice lattes. I love the change of seasons, and I felt like it was happening without me. Luckily, when I felt well enough to get out of the house, I found that it has only just begun.

Yesterday, I had a burst of restless energy, and was sick and tired of being sick and tired. So, I decided to decorate the house with autumnal things. But THEN I realized that I just didn’t have enough autumnal things! What looked nice in our little tiny apartment last year just wasn’t enough for our new, bigger apartment. So, I crafted! And I took pictures!

I found this super tutorial from Polka Dot Bungalow on how to make fabric pumpkins. They are so cute, so I thought I’d give it a try, and here are the results! I modified it slightly, because I didn't have all the materials suggested.

I used fabric and other materials that I already had, so they didn't cost anything.

I love this little guy. So cute.

I put them under this neat table in our library.
