Co-op: Hershey Gardens
We participated in the biannual homeschool day at Hershey Gardens. This year's theme was local biodiversity, which is a topic many of us, including myself, were very excited about. We visited various stations to learn about the importance of biodiversity, different habitats, and the food web. We also attended a talk about ways to promote biodiversity in our own backyards. I didn't get very many pictures, but here is a demonstration on the importance of plant matter in reducing runoff and keeping our water systems clean.
And no trip to Hershey Gardens would be complete without a visit to the butterfly house!
