Nesting
I was just looking over some of my past posts, and I must admit, I’ve been a bit lacking in witty, challenging, thought-provoking blog posts recently. But, honestly, there are other things in life that I’m just super excited about right now!
Par example... we’re building a nest! Not a real nest, of course. Actually, we’re not building anything.

But, we have our first apartment, or rather, our first HOME! We moved Judah in on Saturday, along with {almost} all of our stuff. It was definitely hard work, and extremely tiring {we’re on the third floor} but it was so much fun! We have such a cute little home and I’m so excited to make it ours.
I feel like I’ve spent the past few months packing and living out of boxes, what with moving home from college and then preparing for the move to our first home. Boxes, boxes, boxes... everywhere!
Here is our living room in the midst of being unpacked. |
Anyway, the apartment is pretty tiny, and we’re on a tight budget, so I’m excited by the challenge of making it into a comfortable home.
On another note, there’s no way we could have moved in without the help of my family. They drove out with us, hauled a trailer jam-packed with our stuff, and then carried everything up three flights of stairs! Saying “thank you” hardly seems appreciative enough for all that they did. And of course my little sister helped with putting things away, arranging, and {she wishes} decorating.

She put away a lot of our kitchen stuff. |
So, after a few hours of carrying, unpacking, arranging, and cleaning, I got back in the car and drove three hours back to NJ. Back to my home. {Wait. I just left home. Things are getting confusing.} And I left poor Judah to do the rest of the unpacking and the organizing and the cleaning, but he’s doing a great job!
It’s also worth noting that some cats like to get in on the fun.

That box is definitely not "empty." |
