Thailand Day 2: Journey to Ayutthaya

 Today, we all piled into a rental vehicle to drive to Ayutthaya for some Songkran celebrations. Ayutthaya is a city about two hours from Bangkok, and was the capital of Thailand long ago. We stopped for some sightseeing along the way. First, we stopped at Chatuchak, a large market, for some eating and shopping.

Then we drove through the countryside to some ruins. 

Then we stopped at a local restaurant for lunch. We tried frog legs!

We finally arrived at our hotel in Ayutthaya and spent the evening in the pool before going to bed.
