Field Trip: Lancaster Science Factory
We recently went to the Lancaster Science Factory with our cousins. It was a little crowded and crazy, but we were still able to engage with plenty of exhibits and had a good time. Here, Pumpkin is creating a wheeled robot.
Here is one of our favorite exhibits. It was basically a giant table filled with rice, with a projector shining down on it. You could pile the rice up into mountains and valleys, and the lights would change color to look like a real topography map. You could then hold your hand out over it, and it would use light to create "rain" and you could watch the rain flow down the mountains and pool in the valleys. Sweet Pea really enjoyed this and spent quite a bit of time making mountains. She even tried to create Puerto Rico with the rice.
Pumpkin spent a lot of time at the ball run, trying to make the perfect pathway for the ball, which was a lot trickier than it looks! She succeeded, though!
Sweet Pea explored the Sky Bridge, and challenged herself to go all the way to the top, which she had never done before.
